One individual when joins another individual for a common cause it is termed as couple and when a third individual joins the same cause it is called a group and when a couple of individual join together they are known as a GANG.
Whether it is a Gang, a group, a couple or an individual still they all are human beings. The force lies within us and not with someone else but yes the courage or the power to overcome something is always gathered, pooled and directed into one target only after one of the individual takes the decision to do so.
Why I am talking all this? Some days back I read about the young guy who was stabbed, chased and who died on the Hospital theater room. The story of a guy been stabbed by the gang because the main individual who formed the group (gang) sister was continuously harassed by the victim (although a various version of the stories are running around the small country). When the gang attacked the victim and later he was chased and when he collapsed on the busy streets, it was said that nobody passing by or no onlookers dared to come and question or take this guy up but instead the attackers themselves came and put this guy onto a pickup and send him hospital. Is this because we are pretty much occupied with our works or is it that we don’t have the balls enough to face these guys?
Similarly I heard about another incident yesterday, where a group of kids attacked a person and beat him into pulp and still the guys in there evening best dress and on bikes didn’t even dare to get off and move them off and it seems that one of attackers were even saying “baaleh mulhi athuga ley”. The onlookers just watched the fun and didn’t do much to help or stop or intervene. The victim if survived wouldn’t be even complaining I guess nor I guess this was reported as I haven’t read about the incident anywhere.
But here I would like to ask, is the common man a larger group or a group of 10 individuals? If one stand would the others join? I seriously doubt that now in our society where we are so much scared of getting stabbed and killed or attacked. Sometimes later I thought that if I was in such a situation, I would atleast try my best to stop it, but now I feel that at the end I would be the only person standing against and I would be the second victim and killed in due course to let others open their eyes. Is this my belief or is this what the common man think and is this the reason why he/she doesn’t come forward?
Just give it a try – because always remember, if it is for the good cause the takers would be much more than for a bad work. If you stand against something anti social, then you are giving the confidence to the others. If you are joined by me and when we are joined by others, we are more powerful than them.
You might see a group hitting someone else, who might not be related to you of your any concern. But if you fight for that stranger, then you might never know when that stranger’s family person or relation stand in support of one of your family relation in a similar situation.
Help others to help yourselves and to make our country more peaceful. Guys out there, violence are not always the means, we can win a game with intelligence and we can win hearts only by rightful doing not by wrongful doings.
We a nation of just over 300,000 people, if we start killing each other or becoming enemies of our own. Then what would be the future of our country? We are not in a civil war nor we are thirsty of each others blood, we are country who loves each other. Let us be like that and let us live in those golden days of eternal brotherhood and sisterhood.
Violence have never been an answer for a problem, it has always shed thousand tears of thousand people just for the happiness of one person and that one persons happiness is short lived as he/he is either caught under the crime or is under the guilt.
I would end this with a note for thought which just came into my mind.
“If climate change is killing us gradually, then the civil unrest is killing us rapidly and both can be controlled only by us”.
