Out of 100 people following a religion, if 25 people take the religion in a way in which they feel is the right way without respecting the views of the remaining 75 people or thinking what would even happen to them or how they would face the society -
Is it right to call the remaining people also extremists? is it also rightful to kill them just because the 25 people formed a version of the religion which they believe is right? Should the remaining people also suffer because of what the 1/4th of the group did? Should the remaining people also be sidelined because of what 1/4th of people did?
Should all of 100 people be called “TERRORISTS” Just because 25 persons did it?
Whether it’s Muslim, Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sikhs, Buddhists …. you name any religion, only 1/4th of the followers are mislead into violence and the rest follow the peaceful means of following a religion and thereby preaching it in the right manner.
My ultimate question would be “should “Terrorism” be a new religion?”

some times some religions, too much endorse killing and murdering of non-followers. thus, terrorism is not seen as a religion, but as a part of a religion. or perhaps teachings of some religions are considered as supporting terrorism. so i dont think terrorism should be a new religion. but it is already a part of a life style..the style that supports, “kill every one not like me”

Good question. But ask yourself this question first: what is the remaining 75% doing whining about being labeled terrorists when they don’t do anything about the 25% giving them a bad name?
Have you ever thought about that?

religion is not about logic, personal opinions or even the majority…. it never will be…. what’s right is right, and what’s wrong is wrong… so it is more than likely that 75% of the people that identify themselves with a certain religion believe in something that is totally against the teachings of that religion… and therefore WRONG with respect to that particular religion, and the 25% might be right…
for example, the fact that 75% of muslim maldivians that chose not to pray 5 times daily is clearly wrong with respect to the teachings of Islam… same applies to the question of Jihad, although it is a more debatable topic… and politicians rush to label it as terrorism for convenience, control and political gain, with the help of certain scholars that align with them…
